what have i learned?? posted: 06.11.08 wednesday 6:00pm |
it doesn't really seem like it, but it's been 41 days, and 1400
miles, since we got
itibiti. the time has flown by, i'll tell you that much! what have i learned?? here are some of my experiences: 01. most people that question me about itibiti have big smiles on their faces! 02. of all the people who have approached me, only one was rude. a woman, by the way. 03. after honking at someone in frustration, i always feel self-conscious. 04. driving aggressively in manual mode will lessen your average mileage by about 5mpg. 05. i'm still in honeymoon mode and will not drive it if the weather is bad. no way! 06. there is a good chance that a peeper will leave hand and nose prints on the windows! 07. reaching back with my left hand to locate the drivers seat belt is difficult for me. 08. i constantly see people in my rear-view mirror mouthing the word i-t-i-b-i-t-i! 09. not one person has refused me when i ask to take their picture for itibiti friends. 10. if i want to see someone smile, i'll raise (or lower) the top. it works every time! 11. once in a while, i don't feel like answering the inevitable smart car questions... 12. ...but most of the time, i'll talk about itibiti as long as anyone will listen. |

airbag warning light posted: 06.09.08 monday 04:00pm |
i took itibiti to classic appreciation for a quick car wash and, when I was driving away, i noticed the airbag warning light on the instrument cluster remained on. i pulled over to check the owners manual, which told me to take it to the nearest dealer for proper inspection. luckily, i was just a few miles from smart center bloomfield, and went on over. mark hovis, service and parts manager, hooked itibiti up to the special gizmo they use, and determined the passenger seat belt needed to be replaced. it took about 30 minutes, and i was out of there in no time. painless, actually! when i thanked mark for the good service, he just said "no thanks necessary. that's what we do". cool! | |
